Celebrate the opening of Children’s Institute 2024 in the company of your friends from around the country at the 5th annual Children’s Institute Costume Party! This year is special because we’re returning to wear it all began (get it?) in 2018 with the first costume party at Ci2018 in New Orleans. Come dressed as your favorite book character or collaborate with fellow booksellers on a group costume. All attendees are encouraged to put their best sartorial foot forward and join in the fun!

Booksellers participating in the Ci2024 costume party have a chance to win a $500 AMEX gift card. Booksellers, pick up a numbered sticker from the station outside of the Armstrong Ballroom and mingle throughout the opening reception. Voting takes place through the app by voting for the number on the stickers of your favorite costumes. The top five costumes who receive the most votes will win AMEX Gift Cards. The bookseller with the most votes will receive the grand prize of a $500 Amex Gift Card.
