When a book sits on the shelf for too long, the space it occupies costs the bookstore more than just the sticker price. This session will assist bookstores in creating a standard operating procedure (SOP) for their annual inventory and synthesizing information from the data. Attendees will create a strategy for the frequency in which stores should be making returns, and what types of books are beneficial to return more or less frequently.
