Teen lit readers, ages 12–15 years old, have changed with the times. Their reading wants and habits have also evolved. This session will provide information on the needs of teen lit readers ages 12–15 years old to bridge the gap between older middle school and younger high school aged students. We’ll examine areas of growth in engagement, genres, and formats to consider. Attendees will leave with a better understanding of the needs of teen lit readers, ideas for merchandising, and new ways to categorize teen lit for discoverability.
