Rooted MKE is a BIPOC, children's-centered bookstore and literacy exploration space. Our mission is to amplify BIPOC voices through the power of community and storytelling. We feature curated collections or titles written or illustrated by BIPOC creatives. Within our community-focused space we feature family-centered programming, events, sensory and developmental play sessions and workshops to nurture young readers and support the village who raises them. We also offer private academic tutoring in literacy and math. Walk to Rainbow Booksellers from here! When you leave Rooted, take a right and head four minutes down the block to Rainbow. You’ll know you’re there when you see the Instagrammable book mural!

La Revo Books Pop-up at the Milwaukee Artist Resource Network is for readers and curious minds of all ages and backgrounds to find a piece of their identity on our shelves. Our selection is affordable, relevant and a reflejo of nuestra comunidad. We intentionally and carefully select new and used books for and by Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC), with a specialization in Latine literature. Just as our community is multilingual, so is our selection — we provide libros en Español, Spanglish, Bilingual and other languages. We are Wisconsin's ONLY Latine-focused bookstore and mainly operate as a pop-up shop to reach the community where they are at.

Rainbow Booksellers is a small children's bookstore on Milwaukee's West side in the Washington Heights neighborhood. We've been around for 28 years and, aside from in-store sales, we provide books for school bookfairs, festivals, hospitals, local theaters and other events in the greater Milwaukee metro area. We enjoy the gracious and loyal patronage of our neighborhood as well as the larger community, offering titles from birth through high school. People love to take their photo by the book mural on the side of our building. Walk to Rooted MKE from here!

Lion's Tooth is an indie bookstore café in the beautiful Bay View neighborhood in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, specialized in small press books, zines and comics for kids and adults. Our mission-driven shop works to support local artists and authors and bring quality underground and radical publications to our community. This is a great stop to have your boxed lunch!

Boswell Book Company is a general-interest bookstore on the east side of Milwaukee offering new books, secondhand books, bargain books, autographed books, greeting cards, journals, toys, and gifts. The store features 1100 square feet of kids' selling space.
