Conversation rounds are designated roundtable networking time for booksellers to connect based on store size and location. Each table will address the top five challenges confronting bookstores today. Roundtables are organized by small, medium, large, extra large, and multi-location suburban stores; small, medium, large, extra large, and multi-location rural stores; small, medium, large, extra large, and multi-location urban stores; and small, medium, large, extra large, and multi-location children’s only stores; and pop-up, mobile, and online only stores.

Booksellers will self-select the group that best describes their store. For example, if a bookstore is a medium-sized children’s only bookstore in a rural area, the attendee may want to participate in the medium-sized rural store discussion or the medium-sized children’s only store discussion. If the business intersects with multiple groups, booksellers should feel comfortable moving freely through the rooms. Attendees will leave their discussions with new connections and shared experiences that can continue far beyond Ci2025.
